Vormgevers in hout
Bunnik Utrecht, 17 – 18 Okt. 2009

It’s the 11th season for the exhibition “Vormgevers in Hout” at Ford Vechten. More then 50 exhibitors are working with the principle of durability. There is a lot to see like woodcarving, furniture makers, saw mills in action, jewellery, didgeridoo’s paper making, turning, coffins and many more. The 3500 visitors are walking through the Bunkers and children can play at the gigantic playground made from timber. This year Daan will give a demonstration of Greenwood work

Pennine
Wakefield UK, 13-17 July 2009

Workshop with youngsters with special need. We will explore nature and the different crafts within the main lesson.

Children Camp
Braamt, 28-30 July 2009

A workshop will be held where children can choose out of different activities. At the end the children will perform and show the items they have made in “De Nachtwacht”.

Daan will make shields and spear points and lead coins for decoration of the final picture of “De Nachtwacht”.

Pyrites Craft camp
Ruskin Mill UK, 19 - 25 July 2009

The Pyrites Craft Camp provides an opportunity for children and their parents/friends of all ages to engage in meaning full craft activities. 200 Participants can choose from more then 13 different workshops that are lead by professional crafts people. There are also activities for the younger once in the nearby forest. In the evenings there are campfires and story tellers telling their most real stories with music and dance. A sheep will be baked on a spit fire. Every group will help out in the kitchen halve a day during the week. Daan has lead already for many years the Greenwood work shop at the camp.

Art in Action
Oxford UK, 16 - 19 July 2009

Art in Action is one of the biggest international art and craft festival in the UK About 500 crafts people are showing and demonstrating their work in these 4 days. The whole area covers about 20 big tents with different disciplines such as Glass blowing, papermaking, Painting and drawing, sculpture making, blacksmiths, woodwork en many, many more. Each year this festival attract about 35.000 visitors.

Farmers fair
Erfe Kots Lievelde, 1 June 2009

On June 1st there will be organised a farmers fair at cheese farm Weenink at Lievelder near Lichtenvoorde. Lots of farmers products like cheese and plants are for sale and demonstrations will be given. There is much to see and to do for young and old, like Art crafts and music. Daan will demonstrate Greenwood working and show some fine chairs he made in the past.

Furniture Award 2009
Doetinchem, 7-8 April 2009

Tit will be the 8th year that the furniture awards Achterhoek Liemers will be organized. This time at the Woonboulevard in Doetinchem. Daan is invite to be in the commitie for judgement

Wonen & Co
Groningen, 12 March-15 March 2009

Daan has been asked to join the the stand from House of Design at Wonen & Co, in cooperation with the Municipality of Groningen “Most Sustainable City” , Sustainable Design During Wonen&Co – the visitor will get to see, among other things, furniture that has been produced in a sustainable fashion. This new and inspiring way of designing and manufacturing produces unique products, and is beneficial to man and nature as well. More than 60.000 people has visit the trade fair
